how to scrap a ps2 for parts? Answered

 i have opened my ps2 and got down to the most of the raw parts. how much of the circuit board do i need for the switch and what do i need for the fan, do i just need the wire? i want these parts for a homemade projector. also i will use other parts for other projects.

I'd recommend leaving it alone and selling the various pieces on eBay.  They're more valuable intact, to people trying to repair their own PS2s.

If all you want is a switch and a fan, it's best to just buy them new (or at least extract them from a piece of electronics that actually has no other value)

There's really not all that much you can get off that board. It's all integrated and pretty specialized. You're really better off buying new unused components.
