how to test a bluetooth module? Answered

I have a problem with my bluetooth module. I have interfaced it with my arduino board and it was working properly, but now all of a sudden it is not working at all. The led which ensures that it is turned on is not blinking neither my cell phone is searching it.
Please help me to find out t he exact problem as i want to be sure before buying another module.

Check you really, really have power on the pins of the module. If you do, bin it. These modules often run on only 3.3V, not 5, and if you have interfaced it to the arduino, you could have simply blown it.

Did you use it ? Are you getting the correct voltage on the board's pins ?

ON the BT board ? If its present, and the power on LED isn't lit, you've killed it.
