why? you can't use it while driving... but if you really want to... get an inverter (changes dc to ac) and get a laptop, power the laptop off the inverter get a laptop the size of the cut out hole in the dash

I suggest using a Fit PC micro computer.Fit PC micro computer. You could install it in your boot or glove box. Then you could use one of those in car DVD players with the screen that folds up out of the radio and use it as the monitor. If it doesnt have a VGA input you can buy a VGA to compostie converter. This setup can be ran of a 100W inverter. You could also use one of those roll up keyboards and a wireless mouse.

get a small lcd (or a really small crt) screen the same size as the hole ur going to put it into. if possible get a touchscreen thing to go over it that works by plugging it into the the mouse port or via usb. then you need a pc ov virtually any size, but a smallish one would be best for obvious reasons. convert a 3.5 mill jack to run the car speakers and put the screen on a very loos hinge with a dvd drive behind it, you could use an external one or you could use a normal one, but make the wiring MUCH longer. you may want to take the pc casing off and just fit it into the dashboard or something. Next step is to convert the A.C. power input for the computer AND the screen. basically if you can work out the polarity and voltage of all the cables from the little power box in the computer then connect them to A) the battery directly or B) the battery with somthing to lower the voltage to around 5v. if you want I could probly make you a full system for a reasonable price, to your specs, but only if you live within the UK or are willing to pay extra P&P.; just email me @ john@jot-computing.co.uk for more info.

I had this thought before. My idea was to put a laptop in with a dc adapter, and an audio jack to hook up to the car speakers. I think this is a good idea, because you could put a computer more powerful than other cars, for a lot less money.
