i just electrolysed copper sulfate with my lead dioxide electrode i made by electrolysing a lead rod in sulfuric acid, and now there is a white paste on the bottom of my electrolysis cell, i want to know, is it lead sulfate? or is it something else?

and also i wanted to ask, as well to anyone who may know the answer, how fast does lead dioxide get eaten away when making chlorate or perchlorate?

I don't know what your white paste is, but if it is lead sulphate your anode is coated with the less stable form of lead dioxide(alpha). But when coated onto a suitable substrate in the beta form lead dioxide erodes slower than platinum
