i need help and instructinos about "NEC D882 PNP-transistor" i want to use it in lamp ballast.. tell me the other equivelent transistor.... the maximum volt and current we can give to these transistors.... thanks

Try a TIP29C silicon NPN transistor:
100 Volts for collector base and collector emitter
5 volts for emitter base
1 amp collector current (steady)

Also: might try S9014 NPN bipolar for smaller currents
50 Volts
0.1 Amp
