I'll be posting a slightly improved version of my OTTG1 with complete instructions eventually, I will rename it, probably as the "O2 Glock".

What's this? A new person who thinks he's all that? Nothing new, pal. DJ was the same way. Jammy was probably that way too. I was that way. Most were. You'll realise just how much your (your as in anyone in general) first guns suck when you get better. My stg44 and mini uzi are crap. I thought they were amazing when I first made them. I thought they may have even been better than most of the good people's guns.

I know why that is because there`s a lack of ideas and a lot of noobism going on nowadays. This is the thing everyone seems to forget i just joined the site in August ive been posting my first guns ever.I think theres alot of jealous people out there. My point is if this is what my guns are like just now think of that there going to be like when they get good.

I'm already starting to like you better than DJ. You're taking to criticism a lot faster.
Anyways like I said everyone thinks their guns are gold when first starting out. I thought my TDSs were awesome and a lot of new people would argue that they are but in my and most other experienced people's eyes they're nothing too special. Obviously you'll get better the longer you build so I do expect seeing some good things from you.

He hasn't taken your criticism into account though. If you look at his comments, he is always plotting against me, and actually starting arguments.

I actually saw IC spewing random crap on your Storn 220 v2 regarding your old argument with Zak.  I know you already know, but I thought I'd return the favor and help get his comments straight.

Jammy was in with it too. See, you're being all defensive. Instead of just admitting you didn't handle that the best you blame him for your actions. Be the better man.

No. You sir, are a noob. I've been here for a year and a half, and I don't think that you are anything special. I had arrogance. Dj had arrogance. But you, have been here for what, 2 months? maybe 3? Mine had died down after a week. Dj was a bit difficult after the KI incident. You have to stop thinking you are everything. I'm not getting at you because your first pistol was primative. I'm getting at you because you are so big headed, thinking you are a knex god, yet all of your guns are primative. No mag fed gun reaches 70 ft, and I doubt your other guns' ranges are valid either.

We are not noobs. Tell me, do you know what a noob is? No I thought not. A noob is someone who is new to the site (which, by the way, you spelt wrong). Hence, noob=newb=newbie. In conclusion, you are a noob.

Did you even listen to TD? He told you to halt your arrogance. I'm telling you now. Dj is a better k'nexer than you. As am I. You will get better, and the PAR-V2 is an example, but you are just about average.

Everyone stop it. Jammy and DJ you're not helping as much when you insult him back. If you were truly the better man then you wouldn't need to resort to this. Newb is a new person. Noob is someone who generally acts like a newb but isn't new. For example, being annoying or sucking at what they do.
IC, just back off of DJ and Jammy. They're probably some of the most stubborn arguers you'll ever come across on this website. We didn't like them either for awhile. They still have yet to come out of the 2nd stage of Knexerhood. Arguing over such stupid topics like this gets you no where. Exactly what do you get if you win? Infact how do you win? When the other person backs down? Pfft like that'll happen. Don't spam the site.

I see your point. He started it up on Dj, I joined in cos hes a loyal friend. He'd probably do the same for me. And what exactly are these 'stages' of K'nexerhood?
I like arguing. It's fun, especially when people spout out some of the rubbish like he's been saying.
But yeah, I'll back off.

TheDunkis (author)The Jamalam2009-10-24

Don't take offense to any of this and I'm not saying it's 100% fact but it seems that the majority of the K'nexers with a certain personality will fit this pattern. I'd actually put you and DJ in the 4th after thinking about how many there are. Others like IaC for example don't follow it.
1st stage- Newb. Obviously they're new and they worship the better people and don't build much.
2nd stage- Noob. Suddenly they think they're all that and could take on the world because they made something they think is gold.
3rd stage- They have outgrown their nooby selves and just decide to be "there". They try to fit in and may or may not fail.
4th stage- They become more skilled and suddenly they think they are higher up in the community. They try to be leaders or just do anything to help their rep whether they do good or not.
5th stage- Once they are regarded by the lower members as gods they realize there isn't much to having skill and just cool off. They'll continue to make awesome projects but will learn not to brag about them so much.
6th stage A- Some would turn into a KIer. You think you're better than everyone else so you retreat to hang out with others like that. You show off all the really good things you make to boost your ego. Generally by this point you've grown older.
6th stage B- If you don't turn out like that then most likely you don't think of yourself as better than everyone else and you end up trying to help others. You don't brag much about anything you make and you just kind of keep building to make others happy no matter who it is. Good examples would be IaC or SK though I'm sure they didn't follow this pattern.

Again not saying that everyone follows this pattern or for those who do, if they'll continue it but it's just something I kind of figured it seemed like was going on. I followed the patten and as soon as I hit stage 6 I noticed I didn't really fit in at KI so I just moved my way into the B stage.

There is also a seventh stage- retirement.  A knexer might get too old/too busy for knex and then wants to retire.  He might then sell his knex or just quit ibles.  S0lekill3r and J-chode are the only 2 I know that did this.

DJ Radio (author)TheDunkis2009-10-25

Hmm, it seems like you made your first 4 stages based off of my knexer journey.

The fact is, my braggy self is being influenced from an external source unrelated to knex, so it may take longer than normal to just die out.

TheDunkis (author)DJ Radio2009-10-26

My stages were actually based on me mostly. At first I hadn't a clue what to do so I just went around looking at the crappiest guns now and thought they were awesome. Guns like the knexcutioner and Gorkem's rifle were awesome. Then I made the Stg44. I made it "selective fire" and like you bragged about how it could be fully auto. Then I finally got the message that it wasn't so great nor was the mini uzi. So I just sat around making decent things but nothing to brag about much. I made the TDS series and slowly was thought of as a "knexpert" in those day's standards.Of course I let that get to my head. At first I just talked to people to help my rep. A lot of times though I was actually trying to do the community a favor like in the case of scolding you at every point you annoyed me. Eventually, Instructables wasn't that much to me any more. I tried KA and it failed so eventually I looked towards KI. I almost stayed there but I didn't fit in so I came back here.
I just noticed that you, jammy, and probably a few others also followed something like this roughly. But this is what I'm talking about. You like to be involved. Every comment you make sounds like you know what I'm thinking (which is wrong most of the time) but you spit something out because you want to be somebody.

Quite similar to me. But I never tried to get help with popularity. I think I used to help a lot of people out and be nice to them. I think that was what got me high up. I don't really care too much; it's the internet, and I'd rather be popular IRL than here. :P

The from the one with the jamalamagic rubberbands?
Anyways it could be possible. We can already reach those ranges it's just we either focus on making the gun repeat or making it powerful. It wouldn't be hard to make a repeating sling shot. But god give me some pieces already so I can go and do it.

Mag fed guns with firing pins are what we are talking about, not repeating slingshots

TheDunkis (author)The Jamalam2009-10-26

Still possible. I take it you're also placing a limit on the standard grey rod length and not a rail like SK's? Rifled Rods should be able to get that far if you have a strong enough pin. It would probably break no matter what but it would still be possible and it still would have a magazine.

TheDunkis (author)The Jamalam2009-10-26

WHAT IS REGULAR?! It's just like saying that single shots can't repeat. But yes to better word it, regular rods without shells or anything like that will not get that much range.

Look around in the non-knexer community.  There is bound to be at least 2 members that don't knex but still own knex anyways.  If you're lucky you can get free secondhand knex from people who don't want it and think it's cluttering their room.
