I recently, prior to this course, designed and built an emergency rechargeable light [using a solar cell, a 2n2222 transistor, a cellphone battery and an led strip] that would last for at-least 12-16hrs with continuous use, then switch of and recharge upon the return of electric light or sunlight. However it is not finished, since i haven't acquired the solar cell as yet. So, I would charge it up manually and switch it on/off with the use of the manual switch I installed in the circuit. That is how I know it lasts that long. Should I put this project up?

Sure. That sounds like it would make a good Instructable once you finish it.
