using a hair dryer to smooth out Vaseline? Answered

Have you had any experience in using a hair dryer to lightly go over vaseline to smooth it out as a mold release?

I haven't, but I love the idea!! I just asked the internet and it seems to approve. If you try it, set the hair dryer on low. And if it works, let me know and I'll add that tip to my class! (Giving you credit of course.) :)

Before chemical conquer the world, it was a mix (which I still use it) of vaseline and nafta in a ratio of 15 to 85. You can play with it but be sure that vaseline is present. I used very soft brushes to apply it and removed sofly wit same brush but dry. Compressed air can be used to eliminate strikes and make it as smooth as possible.
