is it related with magnetic field?
The Tesla Turbine was invented by Nikola Tesla in the early 1900's. It was special because it only used discs inside instead of cups or blades. Tesla said his turbine was the greatest of all his inventions. (wiki "Tesla Turbine" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_turbine ) A Tesla Turbine is not normally associated with a magnetic field. However, magnets can be attached to the discs of Tesla Turbines. The magnets between the turbine discs make assembly easier, space the discs properly, and act as the washers that Tesla recommended. Most importantly, the magnets enable the use of an external magnetic coupler, to drive devices and accessories with the turbine. I have several award-winning Instructables showing how to make various working magnetic Tesla CD Turbines: https://www.instructables.com/member/mrfixits/ I have done many experiments with magnetic Tesla CD turbines, and have posted dozens of fun videos of them in action on my YouTube channel, "mrfixitrick": http://www.youtube.com/mrfixitrick

See this guide. Magnets are sometimes used to connect the spinning discs to whatever is being driven by the turbine.
