"The works" active ingredient is 20% Hydrochloric acid by volume. so... 6HCl + 2Al -> 2AlCl3+ 3H2 or, 6 moles of hydrochloric acid react with 2 moles of aluminum metal to produce 2 moles of aluminum trichloride and 3 moles of hydrogen gas.
