The better question is, are you a Evolutionist or Creationist. EX: A Evolutionist would say the egg came first from a genetic mutation from a earlier bird/chicken type thing(This is a basic outline, you could look up more specifics if you want). A Creationist would say the chicken came before the egg, because God created all the animals at one time. Chose your pick, I personally(Being a devoted Christian) would side with the chicken being first.

actually, saying the chicken came first wouldn't always mean you're a creasionist, since once earth was created and it wasnt all molten and stuff, there was bacteria and other single cell organisms present. in which some began to evolve into other animals, so i would say the "chicken" came first as a single cell organism.
There is a reason we have names for tons of different species of birds.. In other words, you can't have a single cell and call it a chicken.
yes, but did ya notice the quotation marks?
Yes I did. But you can't clam it to be a chicken if you yourself don't believe it to be a true chicken, hence the quotes.
I think the chicken came first. But it was a very different chicken. It didn't lay eggs it gave birth to live chicks. Over the eons of time they evolved to lay eggs so we'd have something to make for breakfast.
The egg. It was the mutant offspring of a chicken precursor
the chicken. the chicken has to warm the egg so it can hatch.
God created animals not eggs, plus Adam could have gotten very frustrated trying to name eggs before they hatched.
I think the troll came first.
I once saw an egg lay an egg.
It depends on how considerate the chicken was...
We'll see - the argument is not settled:One side and the other.
Chicken and egg in bed... chicken has head on pillow, smoking. Egg rolls over annoyed saying, "I guess we answered that question".
