I can't figure why guitar players put up with the conector that is over 80 years old there should be an out cry for a better chord conector for guitar!
By lead, are you referring to the cable (cord)? Because any movement giggles the plug in the jack, causing a horrendous noise, especially if the jack/plug fit is a little loose, as many are....The bigger the amp, the nastier the noise (and it's potentially damaging to a amp, too.)And you won't accidentally unplug the guitar if you step on the cord.
