will it work (with/without a usb-ethernet adapter) or at all?
It may. You haven't given anywhere near enough details to provide a better answer than that.

Note too that you haven't said anything about connecting your WiFi router to the public networks...
i want to pick up a hotspot down the street with a poormans wifi rig on my balcony/roof (usb receiver in a parabolic dish) , but instead of it running into my laptop i want to pipe it into a wireless router in my apartment. i have both an airport extreme and airport express at my disposal, both of which have usb ports. there also might be an option of using/rigging a usb to ethernet thing to make it less confusing for the router.
The USB fob won't connect directly to your router, as far as I know. Better solution would probably be to hook the routers up back to back, then run the antenna connection from one though a suitable cable up to your roof and to a directional antenna (websearch "cantenna").
Hi! I don´t think it would work, the USB ports on your routers are meant for printers, external drives etc..... the routers can´t process the signal coming from the usb wifi adapter... Maybe there is another way to connect an external (non-usb) antenna to to your routers.
A little clarification is needed... but from what I understand, you want to make a cantanna, then feed that signal into another router, using it to relay wifi to multiple computers. Right? Or do you simply want internet one one computer using a cantanna? Either way, keep in mind when free-sourcing wifi, speeds can be quite slow at times, trying to run many computers on one router.
I don't begin to know how you'd go about doing this... Maybe someone else can answer your question.
