wireless speakers Answered

i wanted to turn my guitar amp into a wireless speaker for my ipod and wanted to know if i wired an audio jack from the microphone connection of an old walkie talkie i have lying around and wired another to the speaker connection of another walkie talkie, if i plugged the one connected to the mic into my ipod and the receiving walkie into the guitar amp, would it work?

Before you do that consider: A guitar amp is not a "stereo hi-fi" amp so the sound quality will not be full range for CD quality music. Walkie-talkies are not very good sounding transmitters and subject to interference. And what is wrong with just bringing the portable ipod to the guitar amp and hooking that up directly. Of course you would have to do something with the hot line or headphone out to be able to plug into the guitar input unless it has a line-level in. But if you just wanted to do that directly, people have figured out ways to connect an ipod to the guitar amp to jam along.

there is no problem connecting it directly to the amp and it sounds great it is just that i like to play some music when playing xbox or ps3 and the amp is on the other side of my room and id like to be able to do this so that i dont have to keep moving to change songs and i dont want to have to keep moving my amp around :L that and it'd be kinda awesome to be able to control it from a good distance

Hmmm, maybe all you need is a long shielded audio cable with the matching plugs that goes from the ipod to the amp.
