Introduction: Your Very Own Bat'leth

About: I'm not going to explain my self so your going to have to let my groups and 'structables do the talking.

Ever want to show that federation scum who's boss? Ever want to fight like the thousand generations of klingon warriors who died in glorious battle with this very weapon at there side?

now you can...

with 66 inches of PVC pipe and a couple of connectors

Step 1: YAY!! Your Done!! Go Maul Somebody!!!

First, you will need about 66 inches (5 1/2 ft) of schedule 40 1/2 in PVC pipe (can get at home depot) (as shown below), 4 tee pieces (1/2 in of course) , four 45 degree angle pieces, and 4 caps (optional (depends on if you want padding or not))

And here's the tools

PVC pipe cutter or hack saw (i like the cutter better but you can cut the pipe with a hack saw and a vice if your on a tight budget. ( the cutter can be up to 40 bucks if its in a kit))

Sharpie (black permanent marker)

1 foot ruler

The following is for padding the Bat'leth and is optional

Exacto knife

Carpet (not like a rug but as in scrap flooring carpet)

Scissors

Cardboard cutter (optional (if you dont want to dull out your scissors while cutting carpet))

1/2in foam copper pipe insulation

Duct tape (preferibly silver although gray or red or green and stuff like that works too.)

Step 2: Cut the Pipe

At my home depot they sell 1/2 pipe in 10' lengths. you need 5 1/2' so that means you'll have extra. No worrys, use it to build my gun.

But anyway cut the 5.5' pipe like this:

2 count) 8 1/2 in

2 count) 5 in

2 count) 9 in

2 count) 2 in

2 count) 2 1/2 - 3 in

2 count) 6 in

And assemble them as shown below

Now here's a stopping point. You can leave it like this (like i would have done if i didnt want to make an instructible out of it) and go spray paint it silver and put some leather hand guards or somthing, and hang it on your wall.

If you want to actually fight with it, i would put padding on it, that's step 3.

Step 3: Padding! (optional) Following Steps Are Sub Steps of This One

Want to have a friendly battle with your fellow klingon without acually maming and dismembering them? *cough* *couch* panzy *cough* *couch* well, here's how.

First get your insulation and slip over an exterior spike (as shown below) then find out by feeling where the end of the pipe is in the long piece of insulation, then cut that with your scissors. Trim around the pipe and get the excess foam off so that is flush with the pipe, like below. Now do the same with the rest of the spikes.

Step 4: Pad the Ends With Carpet

Get your carpet out and cut it in to squares approx. 1 by 1 or just big enough to cover the spike with the corners sticking out over the side. Then duct tape it down as tight as possible, as shown below.

Step 5: Pad the Ends With Insulation Segments

Now cut about a 1 1/4 section of insulation and place it on over the carpet.
Tape it down lightly but make it squished enough to leave the diameter of the hole about 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch wide. Now put another piece of tape over the side you didnt tape before so it should look like picture 2.

Step 6: Now Do It to the Other Spikes

Do step 4 and 5 to all the other 3 spikes.

Step 7: Pad the Middle (blocking) Part

Now your going to pad the middle part that you always see people blocking with when they spar (as shown below). First you're going to extract the middle part and slip more insulation over it, then do what you did in step 3 and cut the insulation till its flush with the pipe, as shown in picture 2. Then take your Exacto and cut away about a 7/8 piece of foam away from both sides (picture three). Then replace the section back in your Bat'leth. You can do it to the interior piece too (as shown in picture 4).

Step 8: Your DONE!!!

YAY!! your done!! go maul somebody!!!

NOTE: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURIES CAUSED BY THIS WEAPON IF YOU GO AND BREAK SOMONES ARM ITS YOUR FAULT. ITS BASICALLY A SECTION OF PLUMBING. DONT SAY I PUT A WEAPON INTO YOUR HANDS.
