You can make a centerpiece in a minute or less.

Step 1: Start With a Bow...

This bow was made last year with wired ribbon. All I did to use it was fluff it back up and lay it on the table.

Step 2: Add 3 Bulbs

Insert 3 bulbs randomly among the folds of the ribbon. You do not have to hot glue unless you want them to be permanent. If you are going to make this permanent I recommend putting it all together, taking a picture, and then take it apart and hot glue it. That gives you the opportunity to adjust the parts as you go.

Step 3: Add Greenery and Decorative Pick

You can use a piece of garland, a branch of green leaves or a decorative pick to add some interest to the centerpiece. I used leaves on one side and a pick on the other. Remember not to balance too much, randomness and off-center is better than perfect symmetry, in most cases. Do what is most pleasing to your eye. Also, if you are not comfortable yet, turn the pick over and see if you like the composition better than way.

Step 4: Once You Are Satisfied, Take a Picture of It.

You will want to remember how to put it back in case it gets disrupted, or you will want to replicate it elsewhere, or you will decide to hot glue it later and you need to know where everything was. This can take just a minute or even 30 seconds if you have Christmas Craft stuff in bags and boxes. Just reach in, drag out what you have and put it together in a lovely new way.
