no need to regulate current?

If you want to get the full operating power from one of these LEDs, you need a constant current driver instead onf a constant voltage one. Something like this is perfect for driving LEDs as it has such a facility for driving them at their peak current. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-DC-250W-Adjustable-CC-CV-Constant-Current-Step-Up-Boost-Converter-UK-Stock/192112874383?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I have 44v system and 10000mah or 10a so should i get a step down? I'm also trying to hook up blue 12v led lights, so i don't want to stress the battery with 4 different circuits running through it. 1:system/2:charge the lithium-ION/3:100w chip step down/4:12v led step down

Hello, im building a 100 watt (maybe 200) flashlight with 1 (or 2) 100 watt led chips. My Question: would it be better to power it with one 12volt 7.2ah battery or two 12volt 5ah batteries in series equaling 24volts 5ah? Please any advice.

I am making a 100 watt LED light coming from a 600 watt booster. I would like to run two separate lights for two different people with on/off capabilities. Setup: 12v mower bat》7.5A inline fuse》600w booster》2 on/off push buttons with (2)100w led lights on 2 separate peoples hand. (Flounder lights) i have the single one working, can i get 2 to work off one booster or do i have to change the volt pot to work at double and turn them on at the same time or _____?

I can't see point 3 in image/video. Is that circuit really needful?
I followed the link, but I have no idea which transistor i need to replicate schema. Can someone help me?

I build a 100 W LED too. Maybe some hints for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh3FTfb5i74

I made one of these with a different step-up regulator and have drawn up a schematic of it if anyone is interested in seeing more details: http://www.shareyourrepair.com/2015/08/how-to-powe...
It doesn't put out 100W though.

I made the circuit and I encountered a problem.
I supplied from a source computer and functioned properly, but when I powered by a car battery to light it burned.why

Hi, i've tried to use a 50w led with the same driver you have. but the problem is whenever I try to power it with 12V supply, a hissing sound comes out and i only get 27V at the output with load and around 35V without load means without the LED. Is it normal or do I have a faulty driver?
Thanks.

I have had the same problem. I found that the gauge wire i was using was either too small or too long causing to great of a voltage drop through it ( from the battery to the boost converter). once the input voltage dropped to about 9-10v the converter would begin to hiss and the led would flicker. So check the input voltage to the converter at the converter and that should solve the problem.

Nice thing.
But do i really need a current limiter to drive the LED and if yes, what transistors/resistors will I need?(32V, 3A) and do I need PNP or NPN transistors?
I think the step up converter is current limited at 6A, sso that would kill the LED...
Thanks.

ever check temps on that thing? id be curious as to how much light it actually produced and how warm it is 2-3" from the led edge and center.
