Are you loving all the great burlap projects on Pinterest, lately? I am! I decided to grab one of my favorite wood rounds from Lowe’s and whip up my own burlap art. With my big craft box full of goodies, I started brainstorming my design. In less than an hour, I’d come up with 12 pretty ideas for a Burlap Sign DIY Wreath with Initial or monogram too.

So, to hopefully inspire your next DIY project, I’m sharing all of them. Each one is quick and easy to make. And so affordable. You can make any of these for $10 to $20, including the wood. How fabulous is that? Or you can do what I do, make all of them. I change my mantel decor pretty often. So, these 12 ideas for a DIY Wreath with Initial letters should keep my mantle fresh for the next year. Yea!

Step 1: What You'll Need

Lowe's and Home Depot sell these great wood rounds. I used a 15" round from Lowe's for this build.

If you can't find them locally, you can grab something like this 3-pack of rounds on Amazon (aff), but they are only 1/8″ thick.

You'll also need Burlap Fabric cut to a size a couple inches smaller than the wood & a wooden letter for your initial.

I stained my wood round, before layering with a white latex. Remember to always follow the directions and let each coat dry before adding the next.

Once dry, I sanded the edges of the wood round to give it a distressed look. Then I applied a water-based polyurethane to protect it.

Paint that letter with a grey acrylic, or whatever color you'd like.

Step 2:

Attach the burlap and monogram with glue or a hot glue gun. Then grab your craft box or favorite items from your local craft store and start decorating.

I used faux succulents, silk flowers, grapevine wreaths, felt flowers, fake ivy, mini wire LED lights, and more to quickly come up with 12 ideas to inspire your next DIY Burlap Sign.
