Intro: 123d Multi-Use Nano-Robot

Using 123d Design I have created a nanobot design that can be used in many different fields of science. This nanobot is designed for common household security applications. This nanobot will be circulated throughout a houses air conditioning system being released from its central hub that recharges the nanobots and stores them constantly until the alarm system is primed; upon that they will flourish among-st the house.

But what exactly do they do to protect the house, you may be asking. Well  as you can see in diagram A each nanobot is equipped with a glass dome capable of holding a paralyzing poison known as succinylchlorine, which is a muscle relaxant that will cause a human to fall instantly to the floor like a statue and stay that way for a good 30 minutes allowing the police to come and take the intruder into custody. The nano-scale does not allow for one nanobot to complete the task alone though, because nanobots are on a scale of 10^-9 m which is very small, so it would take about 10-15 nanobots to knock out a human. the nanobots inject this poison using the tips of the extending legs they have, within these tips is where tubes connect the vat of poison and allow for the succinylchlorine to be pumped into the blood stream.

But what if my animal is at home during the whole process? Not to worry as you can see in diagram B there are two slots where a thermal and GPS will be inserted. The thermal detector is loaded in with the average body temperature of a human. Why is this useful, so say a nanobot enters your dog it will scan the heat signatures if they do not match that of the humans they will leave the animal, the thermal sensor also allows for the nanobot to scan the area for any lifeforms, allowing it to find its targets. The GPS is loaded in with the mapping of human and animal bodies and will be used for within the organism it will have a set route to find the carotid artery and when it does it will inject the poison in that artery, this is another safety measure because animals do not share this artery so the nanobot would not be able to inject the poison in the animal if the thermal sensor does fail.

How can I have room for all of this? As you can see in diagram C even though some of the nanobot has been hollowed out for the liquid capsule, there is enough room to contain all of the wiring for the rest of the nanobot.

What is this nanobot hub you mentioned? This is depicted in diagrams E and D. The nanobot hub is capable of holding the nanobots, refueling the nanobots and recharging the nanobots. As you can see in diagram E this is where the nanobots are stored when they are inactive. Now onto the meat of this hub. The items depicted in diagram D are Tesla coils, WHAT? That is correct I am utilizing a form of wireless electricity, these Tesla coils will be able to charge nanobots while on the go, the main power comes from the central one which gives the longest range power while the outer Tesla coils are being used to charge the main one, the triangles coming off of them are where the energy goes and they leap across from each other to the other one and are the emitted by the rings on the top. So why not use solar panels? Well since these Nanobots will probably be inside the human body alot they will need to have a power source all the time. So basically instead of a charging dock the nanobots are being constantly charged. This hub is also where the nanobots receive their orders from whether to activate or deactivate.

You may also be wondering what happens if they left your house, well the wireless signal from the hub only extends to your house borders after that the nanobot will turn off automatically and be inactive. they are also not dangerous if you swallow one on accident it is like swallowing a piece of dust, they will not enter the blood stream either if you swallow an inactive one so they will not cause you to become knocked out.

Lastly you have diagram F which is the plug for where the nanobot will refill its poison reserves, so here it will connect up to a wire and have the poison pumped into it.

STEP 1: Nanobot Dome

In this step I made the dome for keeping the poison. Basically I started out with a half sphere then stretched it horizontally, I then used the tweak tool to form this short of rounded shape that flattens at the top , as to not make it to large and create to much drag but to hold enough liquid.

STEP 2: Body

In this I used the smart slot and used the fillet tool on the top and the bottom to get the round curve. I then used the hollow tool in the middle to allow more storage space and then fillet the sides to round it off. And of course added some chrome.

STEP 3: Legs

This step was pretty simple, i used the elbow part and morphed it down some and then used as cone on the bottom and hollowed out a very small part in the tip allowing for the tubing for the poison to be injected. The coins are made of a strong ceramic that can withstand large amounts of heat also along with being able to inject the poison.

STEP 4: Nanobot Tesla Coil

Basically in this step I had a cylinder that I shrank down I then fillet the top to get the rounded effect and took some cones for the extension parts, then a rectangle and cut it into those parts for the electricity to be sent out of. So basically the electricity will travel up the center tube then be stored within the rings at the top and transferred through the points coming off of the Tesla Coil.

STEP 5: Hub

For this i used a sphere, then put a box over half of it and used the subtract tool to get half the sphere and then I made another sphere cut it in half then subtracted the part at the top to get the opening for where the nanobots will be stored and used the shell tool to get that edge. Also you can see there is a clear layer and a black layer, those are two separate half-spheres.

STEP 6: Poison Injector & Sensors Station

Here I basically used the void tool to create these, I made a piece that was two rectangles and used the void tool and somehow got that, really those were a bit of a mistake but a mistake that actually built upon the design. But basically you can see if you were to download it that the first one is an inverse of the other one but it is just voided. So they used the same part to get completely different looks.
