Introduction: 15 Minute Portable Speakers

About: I love instructables and makezine. My dream is to one day attend the World Maker Faire in NYC. I like to mess around with electronics and see what they do( especially projects off of instructables). *****This…
This super simple project will blow you away. These speakers will let you tune in to your own music. It uses few materials and is pretty cool.

Step 1: Collect Materials

You will need: old pair of headphones that still work, 2 disposable coffee cups(like in the picture), small screwdriver, pen or pencil, hot glue gun, and a box knife.

Step 2: Take Apart the Headphones

1. Take off the mesh on the outside. 2. Take the speakers off of the headband using the mini screwdriver.

Step 3: Prep the Cup

Take one of the speakers and trace it on the bottoms of both of the cups.

Step 4: Cut the Holes.

Take the box cutter and cut out the circles you made.try to make most of the cut inside the line . I suggest that you cut a little notch for the wire.

Step 5: Putting It All Together

Take one of your cups and one of your speakers and hot glue them together. File the speaker to the hole in the cup.then do the same to the other one.

Step 6: Using

Now that you are done let me tell you how to use it. Hook it up to your iPod or other music device and crank it all the way up for the full effect. Then step back and listen to the cool sound. You could also use this as cool speakers for a movie on the go.
