Intro: 18" Doll Shoes

Ok so the flipping doll came with one set of shoes and its like 23$ to get a second set so I try and get a pair of 3month old shoes that I thought would fit only to find them to big

STEP 1: Pulling It Apart

I seam ripped the back and side seams and then turned it inside out. There was a cloth bottom and I took that out.

STEP 2:

When I found the right size I cut the excess off and I resewed the sides and back seam. First though I made a copy of the out line of the fabrick so I could make new shoes out of other material.

STEP 3:

With the shoe sewed back up I flipped in back and reinserted the cloth bottom that I had taken out and I cut down first.

STEP 4:

Here is the finished result and the pattern

This is exactly what I've been trying to do all weekend!!! :) Thank you for sharing your experience. I've basically recrafted the infant shoes, but I'm trying to figure out how to get a flat backseam! Thank you!

Awesome tutorial for 18" doll shoes - thanks for including the pattern! I can't wait to see more!!
I'm just glad I was thinking enough to remember to make it!

What a racket they've got going. By the way, how about the $5 coat hangers made from tidbits of wire.
