Intro: 2 Minute Chocolate Chip Microwave Cookie

Okay, who doesn't love a warm, gooey, chocolatey-chippey cookie? Show me that person. You can't, can you? That is because that person does not exist.

Everybody loves a chocolate chip cookie. Maybe it reminds you of your childhood, maybe it's the sugar rush, or maybe you just never quite grew out of it (does anyone?), but whatever the reason, the chocolate chip cookie is the Old Faithfull of dessert items.

As much as I am wary of anyone messing with Old Faithful, I like to think that this 2 minute, quick and easy chocolate chip cookie in a mug will both satisfy your chocolate chip cookie cravings and not take up too much of your time. Because lets face it…if we all like cookies as much as it appears we do, we need to keep a little time to get to the gym.

STEP 1: Everything You'll Need, Right Here

Ingredients

1 Tbsp butter

1 egg yolk

1 Tbsp white sugar

1 Tbsp brown sugar

1/2 tsp vanilla

3 Tbsp flour

chocolate chips!

STEP 2: Mix Your Ingredients

Start by softening the butter. Then add the egg yolk (careful that the warm butter doesn't cook the egg!), the white and brown sugars, vanilla, flour, and chocolate chips.

Remember, the more chocolate chips you use, the longer your cookie may take to cook, and the gooier it will be!

STEP 3: Cook Your Cookie

Microwave your cookie for approximately 45 seconds (at 700 watts), or until it is done to your liking. When it starts to look a bit dry on top, it is getting there, and you should stop the cooking and check it.

STEP 4: Eat, Enjoy, Be Amazed

Delicious. See?

You just made a chocolate chip cookie in a mug! The Old Faithful of desserts just got a bit of a modern facelift, and it's never looked better!

This is so good! I may have to make it again later! I had no butter so I subbed in vegetable oil and it still came out very tastey!

Oh awesome! Good call on the sub. I think I may want to try it with coconut oil sometime as well for a new flavor twist...

Coconut oil sounds like it would go great with this! I will have to try that sometime.

It's like a cookie flavored very rich cake! It's really good!

I tried it with my son and he likes it. Smells like a cookie. Taste like a cookie but more mushy. :-)

DAMN MY DAMN EGG ALLERGY!

Any subtitutes?!?!

Not crunchy but very satisfying!
