For many people in many parts of the world, Snow is something that they will probably never see. While snow has miraculously fallen in improbable places like LA, Jerusalem, etc, it doesn't reach those areas of the world very often. I remember when I lived in Indonesia, many people would ask me what it was like to play in the snow- assuming that they would never get the opportunity to experience snow for themselves! Now for those people, I have found a solution! For just $4, 2 minutes of your time, and just 2 ingredients, you can make your very own snowy experience with FAUX SNOW! This is also a great, easy and cheap craft to keep the little kids entertained as well! (Not to mention its really easy to clean up as well!) Literally anyone can do it, so let's get to it!

Step 1: Assembling the Materials

Like I said, these materials are easy to come by and are super cheap. The total cost only being $4. You will need the following:

- Common Household Baking Soda ($2)

- White Hair Conditioner ($2)

- 1 Cup Measuring cup

- Mixing Bowl

- Assorted pebbles, ribbon, sticks, carrot (stuff laying around to decorate a snowman) :D

That's it!

Step 2: Measuring / Breaking Up Clumps

First, what I did was I measured out 2 Cups of Baking soda (all the baking soda that I had) and placed it into the bowl. You may have noticed the little clumps that are present in the baking soda. Go ahead and just break those up with your hand to give it an extra smooth appearance. The ratio for this Faux Snow is going to be 1/3 cup of White Colored Hair Conditioner to every 1 cup of Baking Soda. So in my case, I added 2/3 cup of conditioner to my baking soda.

*Note* Make sure that you undercut the conditioner proportion slightly, so that you don't have overly wet "Snow". In which case, you may have to add a bit more baking soda.

Step 3: Mixing

Don't bother with getting any utensils dirty in this mixing process! Besides, getting your hands dirty is half the fun! Mix thoroughly and you will notice it starts to look like powdered snow. If the consistency is right, you should be able to clump it in your hand and mold it into various shapes. Now the creativity comes into play! *Tip* to enhance the experience, stick your Faux Snow in the fridge for about 5 minutes and you will have cold, cold snow!!

Step 4: Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Now the only limit to your fun is your imagination! Lay the snow out on a cookie sheet so it is contained. With common household items and in probably ten minutes, I was able to make a real-looking snowball, a Frosty the Snowman, and for all of you frozen fans out there, I made Olaf!
