Introduction: 3 D Paper Snow Decoration

20 matching shapes are cut out and glued together to create a decorative SnowBall.

Step 1: Step 1 Supplies

Supplies:
Template printed on photocopy weight paper. File named spokes-5.png.  (Originally in .svg but couldn't get it to upload)
Four sheets of card stock paper (110lb is best)
Scissors
Hole punch
Stapler
Glue stick
Optional:
Cutting knife and cutting mat to protect table.
Or electronic die cutter like the new Cricut Explore that is the grand prize for the paper craft contest.

Step 2: Step 2 Print Out 2 Copies of the Template.

Staple each template onto 2 sheets of card stock.
Do a rough cut and add more staples to keep the layers from shifting while cutting.

Step 3: Step 3 Cut “flake” Ends and Punch Hole at Base of Opening Located at End of Each “spoke”

Then use scissors or craft knife and mat, to cut hole to finished shape.

Step 4: Step 4 Finish Cutting Out the Shapes.

I tend to cut all the detail stuff at the spoke ends before removing the remainder of the paper.

Step 5: Step 5 Discard the Template.

Fold each shape at base of the 3 spokes.
And fold the “fringe" towards center of shape.

Step 6: Step 6 Spread Glue on Spoke (but NOT the Fringe)

Glue 2 pieces together 1 spoke back to back with another.
You will be assembling the first 5 pieces to form a pentagon shaped hole in center.

Step 7: Step 7. Continue Adding the Pieces, Being Careful to Form 5 Sided Holes
