3 Easy Jewelry Pieces

This is an amazingly fun and easy project. All you need are some simple jewelry materials to make these three, eye-catching pieces.

Supplies

Keychain:

Needle-nose pliers

A large key ring

A flat head pin

Beads

A jump ring

Necklace:

Needle-nose pliers

A long necklace chain

A flat head pin (x2)

Beads

Charms

A jump ring

Earrings:

Needle-nose pliers

An eye pin (x2)

Earring hooks (x2)

Charms

Beads

A jump ring (x2)

Step 1: Keychain

1. Thread your jump ring into the key ring so that it is attached.
2. Take your flat-head pin, and string some beads onto it, leaving about 1/2" of space at the top.
3. Take yout pliers, and use them to twist a loop into the top 1/2" of the head pin.
4. Before closing the loop securely, hook it onto the jump ring.
5. Use the pliers to close the loop securely, attaching the beaded part of your keychain to the key ring.
6. Voila!

Step 2: Necklace

1. Take one of your flat-head pins, and string some beads onto it, leaving about 1/2" of space at the top.
2. Take your pliers, and use them to twist a loop into the top 1/2" of the head pin.
3. Repeat steps one and two, but use other charms/beads this time.
4. You should have ended up with two different head pins filled with bead and charmes, closed off with a loop at the top.
5. Take your jump ring, and use your pliers to gently twist the two ends apart.
6. Attach both finished head pins onto the jump ring through their top loops.
7. Before closing the jump ring, pick a place on your nacklace chain close to the middle, and choose a small chain loop to attach the jump ring to.
8. You should now have a jump ring attached to two looped head pins and one necklace chain connection.
9. Use your pliers to twist the two ends of the jump ring back together, securing your necklace.
10. Voila!

Step 3: Earrings

*This mini-project uses eye pins, not head pins. Eye pins have a loop at the bottom, allowing you to attach charms, but a head pin just has a flattened metal bottom.

1. Take one of your eyepins. Using pliers, twist the loop of the eyepin slightly open, and attach a charm onto this bottom loop. I used clover charms.
2. Close the loop securely with your pliers once a charm has been attached.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with the second eyepin.
4. Take both of your eyepins and string beads onto them, leaving about 1/2" at the top of both of them.
5. Using your pliers, take the 1/2" at the top of your eyepin and twist it into a loop that resembles the loop at the bottom with the charms attached. Do not close the loop.
6. Hook the new loop onto the connection part of the earring hook.
7. With your pliers, securely close the hook loop on the eyepin. Your eyepin should be successfully attached to the earring hook.
8. Repeat steps 5-7 with the other eyepin. Your earrings should now be finished
9. Voila!
