Intro: Soda to Slushy Conversion

In this instructable I will show you how to make an insta-slushy that can go from soda to slushy in under three minutes. This project is easy to make( a five year old could do this easily. That being said, always perform with adult supervision ) and only requires a soda of choice and a working freezer.

STEP 1: Build Pressure

The first step is to shake the soda bottle for around thirty seconds( or until the layer of foam is roughly a centimeter thick) . Put the result in the freezer.
Obviously, it is important to be careful when handling the pressurized bottle. Use a new bottle, and be wary of leaks if you do not want an unexpected visit to a dry cleaner

STEP 2: Making the Slushy

After 3 to 4 hrs in the freezer, the drink should be near 0 degrees celsius, but not actually frozen. Release the pressure and tighten the cap. The soda in the bottle can now easily freeze with a light tap. This frees air bubbles in the drink, which the water molecules form around, making ice. If not all of the drink freezes, turn the bottle upside down to freeze the rest. You now have a nice slushy. Enjoy the slushy and recycle the bottle.

I favorited for the 3 minute promise.

Was sorely disappointed by the last step.

suppose you used dry ice instead of a regular freezer, then you could probably get the three minute result

sorry about that. I was referring to the actual forming of the slushy. i corrected the title now.
