Introduction: 3D Alphabet Wall Art
Grab your old wooden clipboard and give it a new educational life with this easy colorful alphabet-inspired wall art!
Note: I have had this clipboard since the early 2000s, and I have used it for a few moments until I stashed it on my shelf. Now, you can find old wooden clipboard from just about everywhere, especially at your local flea market! From there, you can use for all kinds of wall art crafts like this one!
Step 1: Materials
What you will need to make this fun wall art are..
- an old wooden clipboard
- a pack letter magnets
- hot glue and glue sticks
- scissors
- scrapbook paper
- Duck Brand Duct Tape
- ribbon (not shown)
Note: I included both the tape and paper, because you can decide if you want to use either or, if you decide not to paint the clipboard. If you plan on using scrapbook paper, you will need some Tacky Glue or Mod Podge.
Step 2: Prep the Clipboard
First off, paint the clipboard or cover it with a piece of scrapbook paper or Duct Tape. I used Duck Brand Duct Tape. Make sure that you choose a design that will compliment with the letter magnets, and also you want to still see the letters.
Step 3: Add Letters
Now, arrange your letter magnets on the clipboard with a few dabs of hot glue. If you can't remember what the alphabet looks like, Google it!
Step 4: Hang and Learn!
Now, just tie on a piece of ribbon (not shown at this time), and it's ready to hang on the wall! This also makes it great to add to your classroom for students to use as a learning tool for letter recognition.
