Intro: 3D Elephant Wall Decoration

With just a few cuts you can produce this three-dimensional elephant from TroCraft Eco laser material.

Create your own design, or use our free template.

STEP 1: Design

Send the job to the laser with the settings below.

*Print Settings

  • Process Mode: Standard
  • Resolution:500 dpi
  • Cut Line: None
  • Halftone:Ordered Dithering
  • Others: Optimized geometries, inner geometries first

STEP 2: Laser Processing

Now make the parameter settings. Place a TroCraft Eco plate in the laser device. Cover the remaining work area around the material to create vacuum. Then start the engraving and cutting process.

*Laser Parameters for Engraving (Black)

  • Color: Black
  • Process: Engrave CO2
  • Power (%): 9.00
  • Speed (%): 50.00
  • ppi/Hz: 500 ppi
  • Passes: 1
  • Air Assist: ON
  • Z-Offset: 0.00
  • Direction: Top Down
  • Advanced: High Quality

*Laser Parameters for Cutting (Red)

  • Process: Cut CO2
  • Power (%): 24.00
  • Speed (%): 2.00
  • ppi/Hz: 1000 Hz
  • Passes: 1
  • Air Assist: ON
  • Z-Offset: 0.00
  • Direction: N/A
  • Advanced: N/A*

*Our suggested parameters may vary depending on the laser machine used and the available laser power.

STEP 3: Assembly

Once processing is complete, remove the individual pieces from the laser. The parts are arranged in size or sequence from bottom right to top left.

Take the largest piece of the elephant head (without ear cut-outs) and insert it into the rearmost slot of the grid elements. Continue to do this, working back to front. When you are finished, the smallest piece should be placed in the front most slot.

Finally, turn the elephant head over and slide the rectangular plate through the two slots. This keeps the elements in place and serves as a suspension eyelet so that you can display your fun new design!
