I had a BiC pen that cracked into two pieces. Fortunately the pen cartridge was left undamaged.

If you have also having a BiC pen cartridge lying around, I thought that in this short Instructable we could 3D print a new pen!

Step 1: Materials

  • Pen Cartridge (Standard cartridge found in any BiC Pen)
  • Access to 3D printer
  • Epoxy or any Super Glue
  • Electrical Tape
  • Sand paper or File

Step 2: Print the Parts

Print the parts!

Step 3: Assemble the Pen

Sand the pieces until they are fairly smooth.

Squirt epoxy into the divots on the pen body and cap.

Place the ink cartridge inside the pen body and clamp the two pieces together. Clamp the cap pieces together as well.

Wrap the bottom portion of the cap in electrical tape.

Step 4: Test It Out

Have fun writing with your snazzy new pen!
