3D-STAR WREATH

CRAFT FROM: BECKHAM & BLOOM

MATERIALS:


8 sheet craft paper, different patterns ( I used for different patterns but did not use all the stars I cut out
Star stencil, the larger the star the better
Popsicle stick
Any template with a straight groove ( I use my paper cutter & removed the blade for this project)
Hot glue
Embellishments of any sort, buttons, beads, glitter stickers (whatever you have)
Poster board (I choose white..your choice)
Ribbon

Step 1: Trace & Cut

Trace & cut out your stars ( I used 36 total, but it may vary depending on size stencil you choose)

Line up you cut star with the groove. With the tip of Popsicle stick run it inside the groove from tip-to-bottom all the way down, do this for every point of your star

Step 2: Folding Your Star

Fold the patterned sides together *I want the green side to be my front, so I will fold it the way the red is showing for now*

Do this with all 5 points

Step 3: Make It 3D

Now to make it "3D"

Remember I want the GREEN patter to be the front

With the patter you wish to be the front; Fold from the center of your star to the tip along your scored line to pop out the star

Your star will now have a 3D look

Step 4: Get Out the Glue Gun

I added buttons and beads for the centers but whatever you have on hand will do. I used a hot glue gun for the job

I also stacked two stars together

Step 5: Finishing Touches

I used a drop of hot glue in the center & topped it with another star.

I then traced the star shape in a circle & cut it out to make the base of the wreath.

I hot glued one corner of a finished star & so on until I completed a circle.

Then added ribbon to hang, also attached with hot glue

I really want to make this but I'm not sure how to. I have a project that this would be perfect for. Can you explain a little more in detail what type of craft paper you use and how to use the Popsicle stick and make the star 3d? I hope you get this soon.

I have to say, as much as I like the craft here, the instructable feels very spammy - I think putting the web link on just a single step (first or last) would be sufficient.

Also, try to place pictures on each step, and use comments on the pictures.

And I'd recommend you include the actual template on step 2, or at least a direct link to the template itself (and not a generic link to the base website)...
