Introduction: 3D Wooden Photo Magnet Frame

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

Display even the most cherished memories with a wooden photo magnet attached inside of a simple picture frame!

Step 1: Materials List

Here's what you will need to make this special frame...

  • a wooden photo magnet
  • fabric
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • scissors
  • small picture frame

Step 2: Prep Frame and Backing

First, carefully discard the glass from a small picture frame, and cover the back with your favorite fabric. I used a red polka dot fabric to give it a neat contrast to this white picture frame.

Step 3: Add Magnet

Then, just remove any old magnets from the back, glue to the fabric, and it's done! You can also dress up the frame with small embellishments, if your prefer to make it extra special to display in your home!

Step 4: Done!

For my frame, I used a wooden photo magnet that includes a small picture of me from when I was 3 years old. You can even make your own wooden photo with a mini wooden plaque and a small photo print of a special memory, like your wedding photo or a childhood photo and place it on the front with hot glue.
