    It's algae, but most people call it a moss ball. You can get them at petco and petsmart now, but I've never seen them so small!

    I had never heard of a marimo ball before either, so I googled it. On Wiki, there is a section that says if you grow your marimo ball in club soda, it grows faster. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marimo
