Introduction: 5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
A note from the home cook:
"This cake is super fast and easy to make. It's perfect for that 'sweet' craving we get and just don't know what to eat to fulfill it. I had this recipe for a few months and tonight I tried it and my husband loved it. I was impressed at the ease in which it took to make it."
Step 1:
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well (flour, sugar, cocoa).
Step 2:
Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Step 3:
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Step 4:
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Step 5:
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (on high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed.
Step 6:
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

4 Tbsp - self rising flour
4 Tbsp - sugar
2 Tbsp - cocoa
1 - egg
3 Tbsp - milk
3 Tbsp - oil
3 Tbsp - chocolate chips
1 large - microwave safe coffee mug
a small splash of vanilla extract
