Introduction: $5.00 Bicycle Headlight
What you'll need:
Five 1/2" Conduit hangers I bought mine at Lowe's for $0.50 each see attached link:
2 Ozark Trail 9-LED Mini Flashlight they come w/ batteries I got mine from Walmart for $1.00 each see attached link:
Step 1: Joining the Conduit Hangers & Flashlight
You'll need to make two of these
First, loosen the nut on the conduit hanger & slide the flashlight (wrap flashlight midsection with electrical tape) into the hanger & before you tighten the flashlight to the hanger add another hanger to where you'll tighten the nut as seen in photo.
Now repeat the process on second light
Step 2: Two Identical Pieces
As seen in pic you will have two identical lights with hangers attached
Step 3: Joining Both Flashlights to Hangers
I didn't take a pic of the hangers before I joined them together but you'll get what I'm saying..
Now with both flashlights pointing in the same direction put the hangers together & insert one of the bolts thru the hanger then add a nut (optional lock washer) as seen in pic #2
NOTE: SEE PHOTO #1: DO NOT ADD THE OUTSIDE BOLT AS SHOWN IN PIC YET
Step 4: Adding Final Hanger & Mounting
Now that you've joined the lights & added the "tightening bolt" in the middle you can add the mounting hanger that will be used to attach to the handlebar.. Once completed pull the mounting hanger apart enough to where it'll slide over handlebar stem then add nut & bolt & tighten..
REMEMBER TO FACE MOUNTING HANGER IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF FLASHLIGHTS
Step 5: Other Hanger Uses
I've used these conduit hangers to make a taillight, cup holder, speaker holder, phone holder & a "saddlebag"
You can't really seem them in the pic but I made my ape hangers by cutting a pair of handle bars in half then welding them on to another set of handlebars..
