Introduction: 6-Bike Rack for $60 in 60-seconds
We needed a place to put our bikes. We originally had them hanging from hooks in the ceiling but it was difficult for my wife to get them down without a ladder and impossible for the kids. So we needed an efficient, easy solution.
So we thought, why not hang our bikes like clothes in a closet?

Jeremy, LOVE the idea of being able to space them on a bar as needed! I'm curious about your comment "difficult for my wife to get them down without a ladder and impossible for the kids." along with what happens at :54 seconds when you have to jiggle the snap-hook off the ring even with no bike on it. What is the method of getting them down by a shorter person? Is lifting with one hand and undoing a snap-hook with the other a problem? On a separate note, your video is awesome! The part where you throw all the straps at the wall / bar and then they're installed made me LOL.

Don't want to speak for Jeremy - but I built his rack - work perfectly. Regarding the snap hook issue - we simply use the Velcro when removing the bikes / putting them up. We leave the snap hooks in on the ring.
As per my kids - well they can not remove their bikes - simply because they are just too young to be able to pick up their bikes - too heavy for a 3 year olds.

What length nipples did you use? I'm thinking 8" nipples for mine. Thoughts?

I have some bike ceiling hooks, too, that I've never installed because my bike weight plus my limited height makes getting things like that up and down. I think Jeremy's wife couldn't use the ceiling hooks that he had previously installed, so this puts a hanging system within reach. I think I'll do the same. Thanks to Jeremy!
