Intro: A Clockwork Desk

Here is how I made a clockwork desk or junkyard scrape table. What ever it looks like to you. It wasn't perfect planning on my end but turned out alright if I had to do it differently I'd definitely start with thicker glass. Build something smaller than a few/table to start and have a finished product in my mind instead of drinking through it.
let me know if you have any questions.

STEP 1: Arrangements

Begin arranging different gears and parts withing your structure to create what kind of look your going for. Make sure you are working on a flat surface and when you are happy with how it looks begin taking everything in place .

STEP 2: Legs and Wheels

Deciding to put wheels on the legs was a great choice for me, because all that metal adds up. Wheels made it more Mobile and easier to place where I wanted it.

I mounted the wheels by drilling a hole the

STEP 3: Patina or Paint

I decided to paint mine with a bronze pearl that I had laying around. I almost left it how it was but changed my mind last minute.
Another thought I had was all white then outline the glass with LED lights to create an effect.

STEP 4: Finishing Up

I ended up putting double sticky tape between the glass and metal just so I didn't have metal on top of metal. I used a think piece of glass the first time and ended upgrading to something thicker because I broke it.

If you want this one let me know I'll sell it cheap. i have been looking for a reason to build a different one.

That is so cool ! It would also make a great looking gate or fence.
You are doing good work here. I'm sure the next one you make will be sold and you'll need to make another one. Great looking as art or a desk.
Nice work! the final color is really good. Voted!
how much does it weigh though, coz the casters look like they might not last under that weight!
