Introduction: A DIY Space Game

About: I teach computer science at a K-8 school and am using this account to allow my students to publish instructables. Students are not allowed to create accounts at school.

A space game that you can play out of this world. And easy to make through out the day.


Created By 4th Grade Students: Gideon, Luca, Nico, and Tyler

Supplies


Foam balls, Toothpicks(same amount as foam balls), Markers/Paint, Cardboard, Foam, Hot glue, 4 extra small foam balls for player spaceships, 2 extra foam balls for start and end spaceships, Small pieces of cardboard for dice, and scissors.

Step 1:

Stick toothpicks in foam balls(note not to stick toothpicks in 4 extra balls).

Step 2:

Hot glue cardboard to foam.

Step 3:

Stick toothpick ends in cardboard to make a path or two with start and end spaceships on top of the planets at the end of your course.

Step 4:

Color in cardboard to make a space background. Or paint which ever is easier to come across.

Step 5:

Use extra small foam balls for players and customize them. With marker or paint but make sure they are not the big ones that sticked tooth picks in.

Step 6:

Cut pieces of carboard into little strips then hot glue them together and put dots on each side or use a dice that you had in a recent game so played.

Step 7:

Paint and color to customize.

Step 8: The End
