Introduction: A Handmade Embroidery Bedsheet: Inspired From a Drop of Water.
I made this elegant-looking bedsheet.
It took me around 6 hours to make this embroidery bedsheet inspired by a drop of water.
During its making, every moment felt like the missing piece of a puzzle slotting perfectly into its place.
Supplies
Basically we need,
- A cotton fibre cloth having small blue dots printed.
- A blue-coloured cotton thread for the water theme.
- An inch of tape and a pair of scissors.
- Some threads of different colours, like orange, pink, brown, etc.
- A sewing machine (optional).
Step 1: Fetch a Cotton Cloth
Initially,we must decide how much cloth we are going to use.
My suggestion would be:
- Take cotton cloth at least 75 inches long and 38 inches broad.
- You may get the dotted cotton cloth from a local cloth shop. Remember to check the cloth thoroughly at the time of buying for any cuts or misprints.
- You may fetch a blue-dotted cotton cloth because the print resembles drops of water.
Step 2: Its Time to Sew
Pick your favourite needle and put blue thread inside it.
Make a design right in the middle of the bedsheet. A minimalistic approach will lead to a good outcome.
You may sew a blue-coloured cloth patch on the top of it. Our idea is to make a design that closely relates to the theme of water.
This work can easily be done manually.
You may take the help of a sewing machine to attach a long embroidery design strip to all four corners of the bedsheet.
Step 3: Unfold the Bedsheet After Ironing
Once the designing part gets completed, then you may unfold the bedsheet on your bed after ironing.
