Introduction: A PORTABLE HONEY BEE

Usually, honey bees sit on flowers and sucks honey, but my honey bee sit on anywhere except flower and does nothing.

I did my honey bee and I'm happy to share with you how I did it,

Let's start to DIY it.

Supplies

Drawing kit,

cardstock paper sheet A4,

Colour papers(black, orange & black),

White papers 90GSM (Wings),

Tissue papers,

Scissors,

Transparent glue (FEVICOL),

Paper knife,

Thin wire,

Red sketch pen,

Yellow woollen thread,

Insulation tape.

Step 1: DRAW HONEY BEE

- It's an easy and intelligent way to start a project with drawing,

- Draw your honey bee on an A4 cardstock sheet in landscape direction.

Step 2: CUT IT AWAY

Cut it away from the cardstock sheet with scissors.

Step 3: CIRCLES

- Put mark in each 3 cm distance and name it as head, body and tail,

- Measure the length in that certain mark and make circles.

Step 4: BISECT

Bisect the circle with scissors.

Step 5: FILLERS PREPARATION

Stick 0.5*0.5 cm papers in flat side of the bisected circles.

Step 6: STICK FILLERS

- Stick that prepared fillers in drawn honey bee, over in the marked lines,

- Do the same in left side of the honey bee.

Step 7: STRIPS

- Cut the cardstock paper sheet into 1 cm strips and stick over fillers,

- Do this fully in honey bee.

Step 8: CURVES

- Cut the same strips into small pieces and stick between two fillers,

- This gives curved shape to honey bee.

Step 9: ADD MORE CURVES

In the same way, add more and more curves to the honey bee.

Step 10: TISSUE PAPER PACKING

- Stick tissue paper with help of glue, over the structure,

- Let to dry,

- this makes an half honey bee look.

Step 11: FINE HAIR MAKING

- Make 1.5*1.5 cm strips in black & yellow papers,

- Then fold, mark and cut fine hairs shown in the image.

Step 12: STICK FINE HAIR

- Before starting stick fine hairs, don't forget to stick a sting,

- Role lots of 0.5 cm black papers in a total and extend it,

- Then start stick fine hairs in yellow and black.

Step 13: OVER-ALL GLUING

- Then glue it entirely,

- over-all gluing gives a fine surface finish.

Step 14: LEGS

- Take 15*5 cm black papers and convert them into tubes,

- Insert a thin wire with it and use it as legs,

- Stick it with structure,

- Add excess glue with them.

Step 15: JAWS

- Roll lots of 1.5 cm yellow paper and extend it,

- Use wires to bend them as jaws,

- Stick it in place of mouth.

Step 16: COMPOUND EYES

- Use orange colour paper to compound eyes,

- Cut them into an oval shape,

- Add with transparent sheet and after stick it with the structure.

Step 17: ANTENNA

- Take a 15*5 cm black paper and roll it tubes,

- Insert a thin wire in it and stick it with the structure .

Step 18: COMPLETE BODY PARTS

After all parts are sticked with the structure, complete them with fine hairs.

Step 19: Wings

- Draw wings on cardboard,

- Take 21*5 cm yellow paper and roll it into tubes,

- Insert a thin wire with it,

- Follow them in drawn wings and stick with insulation tape,

- To the inside wings, use woollen thread to tie with the outside wings,

- Use 90 GSM white paper to complete the upper and lower sides of the wings,

- To blood nerves, use a red sketch pen and draw it,

- Stick both sides with structure and complete it with fine hairs.

Step 20: FINISHED PROJECT

This project is crafted with paper and finished.
