Introduction: A-Peeling Banana Bread
You'll go bananas for this bread!
Step 1: Ingredients
The ingredients are simple - no monkey-ing around with this easy recipe !
- 2 to 3 very ripe bananas, peel & mash them
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup sugar (1/2 cup if you would like it less sweet, 1 cup if more sweet)
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 cup of all-purpose white flour
- 1 handful of walnuts **Optional**
Add all together in a bowl.
Step 2: Mix
I use a mixer, but you can grab a spoon and mix the ingredients together.
I turn the mixer on speed '3' an let it mix for 5 mins.
The bread mixture should look yellow and have a lumpy cake batter consistency.
Step 3: Bake
Pour the mixture into a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Turn the oven on to 325 degrees and let it warm up for 10 mins before putting the bread in to bake.
After the oven is warm, bake for 1 hour ..or until the bread is cooked.
You can tell the bread is cooked by inserting a knife into the bread, if the knife is clean when you pull it out, then the bread is cooked.
Step 4: Eat
Let the bread cool for 10- mins and eat!
