Introduction: A Set of Scales for Weighing a Person Who Cannot Stand Up

People who are confined to a wheelchair don't have many opportunities to weigh themselves. Unless they go to a special medical centre that caters for people with a disability, a visit to the general practitioner doctor will not do. So, I had to do something to help my daughter track her weight. This project uses cheap components and can be made for about $100-$150.

Supplies

A few bits of timber, wood screws, one Aduino Uno with an LCD display, four strain gauges, one ADC card, some recycled 4-core telephone cable, and a 9V battery.
