A Tape Dispenser Made From 3549pcs 5mm Magnetic Balls

Tape dispenser is used for holding a roll of tape. It has a mechanism at one end to shear the tape.

In this post, I show you how to build a tape dispenser from 3549pcs 5mm magnetic balls.

Supplies

435 pieces 5mm light black magnetic balls
570 pieces 5mm gold magnetic balls
924 pieces 5mm silver magnetic balls
1620 pieces 5mm blue-ish green-ish magnetic balls

Step 1: Make a Chain With 5, 3 and 4 Blue Balls.

Connect them together like the picture.

Step 2: We Need 11 Pieces.

Step 3: Connect Them to Make a Circle.

Step 4: Make a Chain With 5 Gold Balls.

Step 5: Connect the 5-ball Chain to the Circle We Just Made and Push Them to Make a Triangle.

Step 6: Make a Chain With 22 Light Black Balls.

Step 7: Connect the 22-ball Chain to the Tip of Each Triangle As Shown in the Picture Below.

Step 8: Make a Chain With 4, 3 and 5 Blue Balls.

Connect them together like the picture.

Step 9: We Need 3 Pieces.

Step 10: Connect Them Together.

Step 11: Make a Chain With 5, 5 and 7 Blue Balls.

Connect them together like the picture.

Step 12: Connect Them All Together.

Step 13: Make a Chain With 5 Gold Balls.

Step 14: Connect the 5-ball Chain and Push Them to Make a Triangle As Shown in the Picture Below.

Step 15: Make a Chain With 3 Blue Balls.

Step 16: Connect the 3-ball Chain As Shown in the Picture Below.

Step 17: Make a Chain With 13 Blue Balls.

Step 18: Connect the 13-ball Chain As Shown in the Picture Below.

Step 19: Now We Have 2 Parts of the Tape Dispenser.

Step 20: Let's Connect Them Together.

Step 21: We Need 3 Pieces.

Step 22: Stack Them Together.

Step 23: We Need 6 Pieces of the Other Part.

Step 24: Stack Them Together.

Step 25: Make a Ring With 5 Light Black Balls.

Step 26: Make a Stack of 5-ball Ring.

Step 27: Reverse the Chain to the Other Side and Make One More Layer With 11-ball Ring.

Step 28: Here Is the Two Layers Stack of 5-ball and 11-ball Ring.

Step 29: Make a Chain With 17 Silver Balls.

Step 30: Connect 6 Chains of 17-ball Chain Together.

Step 31: Wrap the Sheet of 6 X 17 Balls With the Two Layers Stack of 5-ball and 11-ball Ring.

Step 32: Here Is the First Layer of the Tape.

Step 33: Make a Chain With 23 Silver Balls.

Step 34: Connect 6 Chains of 23-ball Chain Together.

Step 35: Wrap the Sheet of 6 X 23 Balls With the 1-layer Tape.

Step 36: Here Is the Second Layer of the Tape.

Step 37: Make a Chain With 29 Silver Balls.

Step 38: Connect 6 Chains of 29-ball Chain Together.

Step 39: Wrap the Sheet of 6 X 29 Balls With the 2-layer Tape.

Step 40: Here Is the Third Layer of the Tape.

Step 41: Make a Chain With 35 Silver Balls.

Step 42: Connect 6 Chains of 35-ball Chain Together.

Step 43: Wrap the Sheet of 6 X 35 Balls With the 3-layer Tape.

Step 44: Here Is the Forth Layer of the Tape.

Step 45: Make a Chain With 41 Silver Balls.

Step 46: Connect 6 Chains of 41-ball Chain Together.

Step 47: Wrap the Sheet of 6 X 41 Balls With the 4-layer Tape.

Step 48: Here Is the Fifth Layer of the Tape.

Step 49: Make a Chain With 9 Silver Balls.

Step 50: Connect 6 Chains of 9-ball Chain Together.

Step 51: Insert the Separator to the 5th Layer of the Tape.

Step 52: Separate the 5th Layer to Add the Sheet of 6 X 9 Balls.

Step 53: Connect the Sheet of 6 X 9 Balls Together.

Step 54: Now the 5th Layer of the Tape Has Extra Balls to Make It Longer.

Step 55: Pull the Tape Out.

Step 56: Here Is the First Part of the Tape Dispenser.

Step 57: Insert the Tape Inside the First Part.

Step 58: Connect the End of the Tape to the First Part.

Step 59: We Need 3 Pieces to Make the Second Part of Our Tape Dispenser.

Step 60: Stack Them Together.

Step 61: Here Is the First Part of the Tape Dispenser.

Step 62: Connect the Second Part Together.

Step 63: Now Our Tape Dispenser Look Like the Picture Below.

Step 64: Make a Ring With 6 Balls and 1 Ball in the Middle.

Step 65: Reverse the Chain to the Other Side and Loop the Chain Around the Ring to Add 3 More Layers.

Step 66: Here Is the Cover of the Hole in the Middle of the Tape.

Step 67: We Need 2 Pieces.

Step 68: Turn the Tape Dispenser Vertical.

Step 69: Now Our Tape Dispenser Look Like the Picture Below.

Step 70: Let's Put the Cover on to Cover the Hole in the Middle.

Step 71: Now Our Tape Dispenser Look Like the Picture Below.

Step 72: Put the Cover on the Other Side.
