Introduction: A Simple IPhone/iPod Dock Alternative
I have been using this for quite a while now, its proven to be quite effective. The title says it all really. This is a way of attaching an iPhone to a surface while it is charging, playing music etc. This could potentially save you money.
Step 1: What You Will Need.
A Hammer or some sort of hard object (For helping push the thumbtacks into the surface)
2x Thumbtacks (Metallic ones would look better)
An iPhone, Ipod Touch or Ipod Classic.
An iPod USB cable
Step 2: Now for the Hammer..
Hammer the thumbtacks into place.
Depending on which iPod charger you have the space may be different. For the standard one space the thumbtacks around 1 inch away from one another.
Step 3: When Your Done It Should Look Like This...
This is my second Instructable, i would appreciate some feedback in case i'm making any mistakes,
I hope this works for you.

I must make this, but what does that white dock piece that comes with the Ipod Touch 3g do?
Reply 12 years ago on Introduction
"That white piece" is an adaptor for a dock (music dock, not computer) But if you make the hole in the bottom of it big enough then you can fit the usb through, making you able to place that in something to make a basic dock. (I fitted one in a sheet of perspex with the ends curved down :D
Hope this helps.
