Introduction: ABOK 784 & 785

ABOK 784 and 785 start with the same 6 steps.

Step 1:

Middle your cord and tie a temporary seizing. Tie an overhand knot.

Step 2:

Bring left hand end to the right on top

Step 3:

Bring left hand end to the left underneath.

Step 4:

In the next two steps

A goes over all and down through bight a.

B goes under all and up through bight b.

Step 5:

Over and down through bight.

Step 6:

Under and up through bight,

Step 7: Finishing ABOK 784

Skip to step eleven if you wish to continue tying ABOK 785

In the next two steps

A goes down through bight a

B goes up through bight b.

Step 8:

Down through bight

Step 9:

Up through bight.

Step 10:

Tighten. ABOK 784 is complete.

Step 11: ABOK 785 Starts at Step 6 of These Instructions

Step 6

Step 12:

Left hand end goes to right over everything.

Step 13:

Right hand ends goes to left under everything.

Step 14:

In next two steps:

A goes over everything and down through bight a.

B goes under everything and up through bight b.

Step 15:

Over and down through bight.

Step 16:

Under and up through bight.

Step 17:

In next two steps:

A goes down through bight a

B goes up through bight b.

Step 18:

Up through bight.

Step 19:

Down through bight.

Step 20:

The knot is complete, Tighten

Step 21:

To elongate further repeat steps 12 - 19.

    What are the uses for this knot, besides being a decorative loop? I know some knots are just that, so I'm not dissing it at all. Just curious.
