Introduction: Adding Neoprene Rubber to Homemade Drum Sander
This is a follow up video to DIY Drum Sander for Pillar Drill (http://youtu.be/fLDNL8w940I) where I added 2mm neoprene rubber to the edge of some home made drum sanders. The rubber has dampen the nose somewhat, helped to grip the sandpaper to the drum and cushions the material being pushed against. I just need to re-cut all the sacrificial squares to with the new circles sizes.

Interesting, but, is it worth the trouble? Those drum sanders seem work very well without neoprene.

I think so. The rubber helped grip the sandpaper to the drum and cushions the material being pushed against.
