Introduction: Adventures in Experimental Cooking - Stuffed Hamburger
Mrs and the Offspring are out of the house, it's dinner time and I'm hungry. What to do... What to do...
Plenty of restaurants nearby, but thats hard on the wallet.
I know....
To the kitchen!
Step 1: Ingredients
Today, in the 'fridge I find some ground beef, some hard salami thinly sliced, and some shredded cheddar cheese.
These will do nicely.
Step 2: Assembly
Start by dividing the ground beef into two portions.
(Q: How much ground beef do we start with? A: As much as you feel like eating.)
Make two patties, each about half as thick as a normal hamburger, and roughly the same diameter as each other.
Place the fillings in the center of one patty, leaving a border of ground beef exposed all the way around.
Now place the second patty on top and squeeze it down around the edges to seal the fillings inside.
Step 3: Cook It
Place a frying pan on the stove, turn the stove on high.
Wait until the pan is nice and hot, turn the stove back to medium.
Place the stuffed 'burger patty in the pan and cover.
Wait about 3 minutes.
Flip the 'burger over.
Wait another 3 minutes.
Turn off the stove.
Step 4: Enjoy!
Remove the 'burger from the pan.
Put it on your plate.
Top it with any condiments you desire, or not.
Put it between some bread, or not.
Eat it and enjoy!
