Introduction: Air Dried Clay Pumpkin

Although this craft is easy, it is impossible...

Unless... (You have these materials)

Supplies

You will need:

  • Air-dry clay (green and orange (optional: black))
  • toothpick
  • Air

Step 1: Body

Get a fair amount of orange-coloured clay. Roll it up into a ball and change its shape to make it unique.

Then get a toothpick and add texture to your pumpkin body.

Step 2: Vine

Roll out a piece of green clay into a semi-thin string, and wrap it around the toothpick.

While waiting for it to dry up, get a small amount of green clay and make the leaves for the top of the pumpkin by pushing your fingernail into the sides.

Step 3: Combining

when you have finished (and when your clay is still wet), lightly press your leaf onto the top of the pumpkin.

Then wait for your vine to dry fully by dipping it into some air!

When your vine has dried, carefully slide it off the toothpick, then gently press the vine onto the leaf (you will want to add a bit of green clay to stick it).

And You're Done!

Step 4: Face (optional)

Take a small portion of black-coloured clay and shape your eyes and mouth!

Before your clay face dries, press it onto the desired location on the pumpkin.

And You're Actually Done!
