Supplies

  • 1lb of Brussels sprouts, rinsed and dried (454g)

Step 1: Rinse, Dry, Cut

Begin by rinsing and drying the Brussels Sprouts. Next cut about 1/4 inch or so off the bottom of each one. While not necessary those ends are just not very appetizing.

Then take any really large ones and cut them in half or even into quarters. Place them all in a medium bowl or in a bag.

Step 2: Seasoning

Now drizzle on a bit of olive oil or other cooking oil. The oil is not necessary but it adds flavor as well as helps it crisp up in the air fryer. It also helps keep the seasonings on the Brussels sprouts.

Sprinkle on the garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. You can add paprika as well if you like or any other spices.

Cover the bowl with a lid or if doing it in a bag close the bag. Then shake so the Brussels sprouts get evenly coated.

Step 3: Air Fry Those Brussels Sprouts

Add all the seasoned Brussels sprouts to the air fryer basket and spread them out evenly in one layer. In mine, I can do a full pound of Brussels sprouts without any of them overlapping.

Set the temperature to 350F/176C (doesn't have to be exact), then set the time for about 12 minutes.

Cook for 6 minutes then remove the basket and give them a shake to promote even cooking. Then replace the basket and cook another 6 minutes or so until nice and golden brown in spots.

And just like that they are ready!

Step 4: Serve

Allow them to cool for a few minutes and then serve them.

Enjoy!
