Intro: Air Fryer Potato Skins

These homemade air fryer potato skins are awesome and super easy to make. If you are peeling potatoes, save those skins and make this recipe!

Don't forget to follow me and check out my other Instructables. :)

Follow the super easy steps below or watch the short video tutorial or do both!

STEP 1: Prep the Potato Skins

Rinse and dry the potatoes. Then peel the potatoes and place the skins in a bowl.

Spray the potato skins with some olive oil. This step is optional, but the light coating of oil helps to get them crispier and makes them taste a little better.

Add a bit of salt. Mix with your hands and add a bit more oil and salt as necessary to get the skins evenly coated.

STEP 2: Air Fryer Those Skins

Add the potato skins to the air fryer basket. Cook at 385F/195C for 8 to 10 minutes. At the 5-minute mark remove the basket spray again with olive oil and add a bit more salt. Turn the skins over and cook the remaining time until they are golden brown and crispy.

Add additional seasonings as desired.

STEP 3: Eat Those Skins

And just like that you have crispy potato skins. All done in less than 15 minutes. A great little snack to eat and a perfect use for those potato skins.

Dip in ketchup or eat plain. Enjoy!

Matt,

Great recipe, but i think it should be renamed crispy air fryer potato peels instead of skins. This would avoid the confusion with folks who associate "fried potatoes skins" with the restaurant potato skins loaded with cheese and bacon.

Again, looks good! I'm looking forward to trying them.

Thanks! Yes it is possible these could get confused with the stuffed potato skins that are like little boats filled with yummy stuff.
