Intro: Air Dry Clothes When You Have Limited Space

When you have a small laundry room, it can sometimes be difficult to air dry those shirts and pants you dont want to shrink in the dryer, that's why I came up with this awesome life hack.

STEP 1: What You Will Need

•a hallway
•an adjustable shower curtain rod
•a door frame

STEP 2: Hang the Rod

You will preferably need two doors that are right across from one another.
All you have to do is adjust the shower curtain rod so it will sit on top of the door frames.
Because it is sitting on top of the frames it will support a lot of weight, that's why it works perfect for air drying wet clothes.

STEP 3: Hang Your Clothes

Now you can hang your clothes to let them dry.
Since the shower curtain rod is adjustable, you can take it down as soon as the clothes are dry and store it in the laundry room until the next time you need it! Nothing bulky to stay in your way all the time :)

I like what you've done.

I lived without a dryer for over 20 years.

-If you rent my solution might not work for you.

I mounted a rod to the wall fairly high over top of my washing machine. I used cheap shelf mounts with rod supports (below) for the rod. I also used a folding wooden drying rack (mainly for underwear), and an outside clothesline in the summer, but most of my drying was done on hangers on this rod.

Thanks for the comment, I do rent but that is a great idea! :)
